Request for Proposals

We are currently accepting proposals for the 4th Annual Virtual AD/HD Conference®, taking place this year from October 3-6. A submission form can be found at the bottom of this page. Please read this entire page before submitting your proposal. The submission deadline is May 31, 2011.

About the Conference

The Virtual AD/HD Conference® is a 4-day, interactive event that brings together an international community of people affected by AD/HD.

An audience of over 500 people, including adults with AD/HD, parents of AD/HD children, doctors, coaches, and more attend the conference each year. Keynote presentations for the 2010 conference were given by Edward Hallowell, MD, and Patricia Quinn, MD.

Going into our fourth year, we are excited to make this the best Virtual AD/HD Conference® yet!

Submission Guidelines

  • Limit 2 proposals per presenter. (No more than 1 presentation per speaker will be chosen.)
  • Proposals must be submitted via email using the Word document linked on this page.
  • Submission deadline is May 31, 2011.

Selection Criteria

Proposals will be reviewed by the conference organizers and the conference research and development team.

Proposals will be chosen based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance and interest to the AD/HD community
  • Topic and speaker feedback submitted by attendees of prior events
  • Unique and original content (What haven't we heard before?)

Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):

  • AD/HD diagnosis and treatment
  • Alternative, complimentary, and holistic treatments for AD/HD
  • AD/HD management and social skills
  • Parenting children with AD/HD
  • School/Workplace issues
  • Relationship/Family dynamics

The Virtual AD/HD Conference® audience includes:

  • Adults
  • Parents
  • Spouses and Partners
  • Professionals (doctors, therapists, coaches, organizers, advocates, educators, etc.)

Final Agenda

All applicants will be notified by June 30, 2011.

If your session is selected:

  • Your session will be 1 hour in length, including 10-15 minutes of Q&A.
  • You will be required to return your signed Speaker Agreement within 2 weeks of receipt.
  • You will be required to submit a Power Point presentation to accompany your talk by August 31, 2011.
  • Your session day and time will be assigned by the conference organizers.
  • Your session must not, under any circumstances, be used a vehicle to sell, market, or otherwise promote a product, person, company, or website.
  • You will be compensated based on the number of registrations you refer using your unique speaker web link.
