General Questions About the Conference
Question: What is a "virtual conference"?
Answer: The Virtual AD/HD Conference™ is just like a physical conference -- the experts in the world of AD/HD will be gathered in one place to present the latest information and strategies to an audience of adults, parents, and professionals.
However, rather than traveling to a conference, the Virtual AD/HD Conference™ comes to you!
You'll access each presentation either by calling into a live teleseminar or by downloading an MP3 recording or listening on CD after the presentation. You can also view or download handouts provided by the speakers.
And there will be forums and chat rooms in which you can discuss the presentations with your peers -- just like at a physical conference!
Question: Do I have to attend all the sessions?
Answer: No, you do not have to attend all the sessions. You can pick and choose which sessions you'd like to attend live, and you can listen to session recordings after the presentations.
Question: What time are the sessions?
Answer: The sessions and their times can be found on the conference agenda page, located here: http://www.ADHDconference.com/agenda.shtml.
Question: Do I need special software to attend the conference?
Answer: No, you do not need special software to attend the conference.
Question: What options do I have for listening live?
Answer: You will have the choice of either dialing in via telephone, the way you would on a conference call, or you can listen live on the web. Listening on the web is very easy--all you will have to do is "press play".
Question: Do I need to be web savvy to attend the conference?
Answer: While we have made every effort to make your conference experience as easy as possible, please keep in mind that you will be using your computer and an Internet connection to access most of the conference materials.
If you are comfortable using your computer and navigating the Internet, then you should be comfortable attending the Virtual AD/HD Conference™.
Question: Will there be a video component to the conference?
Answer: No, there will not be a video component. You may refer to each speaker's handouts during their presentation if you wish.
Question: How long will the presentation recordings and other materials be available on the conference website?
Answer: The presentation recordings and other materials will remain on the website for 3 months following the conference. However, you must be registered for the conference in order to have access to the website.
Question: What is the cancellation policy?
Answer: Cancellations will be accepted through September 8th. A full refund less an administrative fee of $25 will be issued. No cancellations or refunds will be accepted after September 8th.
Question: Are CEUs available for professionals attending the conference?
Answer: No, unfortunately we are not able to offer CEUs at this time.
Question: Are there scholarships available?
Answer: This being our inaugural year, we are not able to offer scholarships at this time. We hope to be able to next year.
Questions About Registration Options
Question: What is the difference between Standard Registration and Deluxe Registration?
Answer: In addition to all the benefits of the Standard Registration Package, the Deluxe Registration Package also includes an audio CD set of all the conference presentations, plus transcripts of all sessions. The CDs and transcripts will be mailed to Deluxe Registrants 4-6 weeks after the close of the conference.
Question: I don't want to attend the live sessions, I just want to download the handouts and recordings. Is there a registration option for this?
Answer: The registration fees are the same whether or not you attend the live sessions. If you'd like to get the session MP3s and handouts, please register under the Standard Package. If you'd like to get audio CDs and printed transcripts, please register under the Deluxe Package.
Question: Will I be able to buy the audio CDs and transcripts at a later date?
Answer: We will not be selling the audio CDs and transcripts after the event. If you would like to receive the CDs and transcripts, please register under the Deluxe Package.
Question: May I buy just the CDs and transcripts without registering?
Answer: We will not be selling the CDs and transcripts separately. If you would like to receive CDs and transcripts, please register under the Deluxe Package.
Question: What are the shipping and handling charges on the Deluxe Registration?
Answer: Shipping charges on the Deluxe Registration Package cover mailing costs of the audio CD set and printed transcripts of the conference presentations. The shipping charges are as follows:
Delivery in the US: $11.80
Delivery in Canada: $27.80
Delivery to all other countries: $43.80
